Special collateral transaction
A section of the repurchase agreement market on which a cash borrower must provide specific securities as collateral.
(1) Transactions carried out on this section of the market are called specific collateral transactions or special collateral transactions.
(2) The purpose of these transactions is to lend cash against collateral of securities with specific characteristics.
